Team Membership Meeting

The WECT General Meeting will be on Wednesday, May 16th at 7PM in Meeting Room A at 50 Skyline Dr.

This meeting will include:

  • Nominations for elections to be held during field day on June 23rd
    • President (presently occupied by NB1H)
    • Treasurer (presently occupied by NM1B)
    • Two Director seats (presently occupied by AB1ES and K1BML)
    • Anyone who is interested in running for any of these seats is strongly encouraged to attend.
  • Update on field day planning
    • A brief update on our plans for field day 2018.
  • Training on the new console system

We will be setting up several operator positions for the new WECT radio console system and providing an overview and hands on training of the system. This system is similar to that used by the city in the dispatch center at Coppage Drive, and allows a single operator to simultaneously listen to, and transmit on, multiple radio channels via one headset.

We will be training on the basics of this system, having members get hands-on experience using the system, and answering questions.
